CARE & CLEANING
DESCALING
1. Always unplug the kettle from the outlet before cleaning.
2. Allow the kettle to cool down before cleaning.
3. Clean the kettle exterior with damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring
agents.
4. Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids or place it under running
water. If water contacts the bottom of the kettle it could cause a short circuit.
5. Descale the kettle frequently.
6. This kettle is not dish washer safe. Clean by hand.
1. We recommend descaling your kettle from time to time, this will ensure that you
get the best performance from it. The frequency of descaling will depend on the
hardness (milligrams of calcium carbonate equivalent per litre) of your tap water
and how often you use your kettle.
2. We suggest the use of a kettle descaler in order to dissolve the scale build up.
Follow the guidelines on the manufacturer’s packaging.
3. You can also descale your kettle with white vinegar. To do this, fill your kettle with
white vinegar, enough to cover the bottom of the kettle by approx. 2cm. Boil the
vinegar to dissolve the scale. This may need to be repeated several times with
new cold vinegar to remove the build-up completely. When the kettle is descaled,
empty the kettle and carefully rinse out several times with clean water. Be careful
not to inhale the fumes during this process.
