Do you have a question about the CUSHCRAFT R6000 and is the answer not in the manual?
Antenna is an electrical conductor; avoid contact with power lines to prevent death or injury.
Ensure no one contacts antenna parts. Long-term RF exposure effects are not fully understood.
Mount vertically in the clear, away from objects. Avoid attaching to a ground radial system.
Use a rigid mast, 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 inches diameter. Use non-conducting guy wires if needed.
Direct grounding of the mast protects from lightning and high voltages. Use #10 AWG wire.
Follow steps 1 through 5 for assembly. Verify dimensions in Chart A after assembly.
Adjust from bottom to top. Lengthen/shorten elements to tune VSWR for desired frequencies.
Space antenna 66 ft from metal. Achieve line of sight. Use appropriate connectors and feedline.
Check for loose connections, corrosion, and RF interference. Use proper feedline management.
