Adjusting the Recline Angle
Infant Car Seat with Base:
1. Before attaching
the Infant Carrier to
the Base, always
check the Recline
Indicator for the
correct recline angle
range based on your
child's weight.
NOTE: Vehicle must be on a level
surface for Recline Indicator to function
correctly.
2. Push and hold
the Recline Foot
Adjustment Button,
then extend or
retract the Recline
Foot until the
Base is within the
recommended range
for your child. There
are four recline positions.
3. Release Recline Foot Adjustment Button
to lock Recline Foot in place.
4. Install Base using one of the install
methods on pages 30-42. Be sure to
recheck for correct recline angle after
installation.
Be sure to recheck the recline angle
with the child secured in place (see pgs.
57-59).
If Recline Angle is not correct after
installation:
• Uninstall Base, adjust Recline Foot, and
reinstall, or
• Fully store the Recline Foot and use a
tightly rolled towel or pool noodle under
the Base, near the vehicle seat back as
shown below.
