Enabling Direct Connect

Press and hold the Direct Connect button on the back of the camera for at least ve seconds.
The Cloud/Direct Mode LED on the front of the camera will ash.

Connect your mobile device to the myBabyCam-xxxx Wi-Fi network. (XXXX is a 4-digit code, the
last 4 digits of your camera’s MAC address.) Use the Wi-Fi password you created during the Setup
Wizard installation process.
Note: Once you are connected to the camera, your mobile device will no longer have Internet access.
During the initial steps with the Setup Wizard, you congured the camera to connect to your home Wi-Fi network. The DCS-850L can also be used as
a portable camera that you can take with you. Direct Connect mode lets you wirelessly connect your mobile device directly to your camera, which
means there is no need for an Internet connection or a router. You can use your mobile device as a monitor for your camera.
*Note: You have the option of using a portable USB battery pack (not included). Use a Micro USB cable to connect your camera to a USB battery that
supplies 5V/2A of power.

Attach the power adapter to the power connector (Micro USB port) on the back of the camera,
and plug the power adapter into a power outlet or power strip*.
