config traffic trap
Purpose Used to configure traps for traffic control.
Syntax
config traffic trap [none | storm_occurred | storm_cleared | both]
Description Use this to enable traffic storm trap messages.
Parameters none – Will send no Storm trap warning messages regardless of action
taken by the Traffic Control mechanism.
storm_occurred – Will send Storm Trap warning messages upon the
occurrence of a Traffic Storm only.
storm_cleared – Will send Storm Trap messages when a Traffic Storm
has been cleared by the Switch only.
both – Will send Storm Trap messages when a Traffic Storm has been
both detected and cleared by the Switch.
Restrictions Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure traffic control and enable broadcast storm control system wide:
DES-3026:4#config traffic trap storm_occurred
Command: config traffic trap storm_occurred
Success.
DES-3026:4#
show traffic control
Purpose Used to display current traffic control settings.
Syntax
show traffic control {<storm_grouplist>}
Description This command displays the current storm traffic control configuration on
the Switch.
Parameters
<storm_grouplist> Specify a port or range of ports to display. If
unspecified, all ports will be displayed.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To display traffic control setting:
