Q: Why can’t my DHP-W610AV nd my DHP-P610AV?
• Be sure both devices are plugged directly into a wall outlet. Plugging into a
power strip or another device may disrupt the connection.
• The electrical wiring must be on the same electrical circuit. You may need to
consult a local electrician if you are not sure.
Q: My connection is erratic and sometimes cuts out or is slow, why?
• Try to keep nearby outlets free of other devices, such as chargers and hair
dryers, to minimize electrical interference.
Q: How do I nd my wireless network? Can I change the network name?
• You can nd the default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password on the Wi-Fi
Conguration Card. You can also set your own password for security
purposes.
• You can change your wireless settings by opening your web browser and
going to http://dlinkapWXYZ.local. then Setup then Wireless Settings.
WXYZ is an example, the actual address is on your conguration card.
Q: Can I use only the DHP-W610AV or DHP-P610AV to get online?
• Powerline devices work together to create a network. They communicate
over electrical wiring, but you still need an Internet connection from a router
and/or modem.
Q: Can I use more than one Powerline device at a time?
• Yes you can! D-Link oers a host of Powerline devices that include adapters,
extenders, and routers.
