Using the Setup Wizard (continued)
IP address, Subnet mask and Gateway
If Fixed IP is chosen, enter each of these settings for the DVC-1000. You will
be able to obtain the IP address, subnet mask and gateway address from your
router conguration settings, ISP or network administrator.
Username and Password
If PPPoE is chosen, enter the Username and Password for your PPPoE
account.
Host name (optional):
Your Internet Service provider may require you to provide a host name to
connect to the Internet. If this is required, you can enter it here. Today, this is
rarely required on a broadband connection and this setting is optional.
MAC: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
MAC (Media Access Control) is an unique identier for the Ethernet network
hardware of your DVC-1000. If you need to know the MAC address of your
DVC-1000, it can be found on this screen.
Press Next to continue.
PPPoE is used when connecting
directly to a DSL modem that
offers a PPPoE connection. Your
user name and password for the
PPPoE account must be entered
in the provided elds.
