5 Rack Installation
This DVR occupies 2 units of vertical rack space. Use the following guidelines when mounting the
DVR to a rack:
• Use 12 screws to attach the DVR to the rack.
• Ensure the indoor temperature is below 35 °C (95 °F) where the DVR is installed.
• Ensure there is at least 150.0 mm (5.90 in.) of space around the DVR to guarantee adequate air
flow and ventilation.
• Install devices from the bottom of the rack to the top.
• Ensure the power supply to the rack is adequate to power the devices installed in the rack. Make
sure the total power consumption of all the devices in the rack do not exceed the maximum
power supply for the rack.
