Sundanzer Refrigerato
r/Freezer Troubleshooting Tips
When the power is connected to the unit, does it attempt to start at all?
Does it run a short period of time then shut off without cooling much?
Does it run non-stop, never shut off and not cool?
You can also remove the side plastic grill and remove to screw that retains the
Electronic Control Unit (ECU) on the compressor. Then unplug the ECU from the
compressor and check the resistance on the compressor pins. It should be about
2.5 ohms between all three pairs: 1&2,2&3 and 1&3.
If so, the compressor should be fine. The most common failure is from low-
voltage disconnect. This can happen from oxidized connections, even when it
has been working fine for some time and sometimes it may be intermittent.
Disconnect, clean and reconnect all connections.
See the attached spec sheet for the Electronics Unit.

Summary

Refrigerator Freezer Troubleshooting

Compressor Resistance Check

Check compressor resistance by unplugging ECU and measuring pins. Expect ~2.5 ohms between all pairs.

Low-Voltage Disconnect Issues

Common failure due to oxidized connections, causing intermittent operation. Disconnect, clean, and reconnect.

Electronic Unit Specifications and Operation

Installation and Power Supply

Connect unit to compressor and battery poles. Use correct fuses and wire dimensions.

Battery Protection and Settings

Compressor stops/restarts based on voltage. Optional settings via resistor connection (Fig. 4).

Thermostat, Fan, and LED Indicators

Controls compressor speed and indicates errors. Connect thermostat (C/T), fan (+/F), and LED (+/D).
