Installing the Hydraulic Hose
The Hydraulic Hose moves Hydraulic Fluid from the Power Unit to the Hydraulic Cylinder.
The following illustration shows how to route the Hydraulic Hose from the Hydraulic Cylinder to the
Power Unit.

To install the Hydraulic Hose:
1. Prepare the Hydraulic Components as described in About Hydraulic Fluid Contamination.
2. Locate the Hydraulic Hose (in Parts Box) and the two Hydraulic Fittings (in Parts Bag).
3. Route the Hydraulic Hose through the Flex Tube; keep the Curved end at the Power Unit.
4. Remove the Shipping Plug from the Hydraulic Out Port on the Power Unit, install the ORB end of
the JIC x ORB Elbow Fitting to the Port, while the JIC end attaches to the Hydraulic Hose.
NOTICE The Hydraulic Out Ports on the Power Unit are commonly labeled P1 or P2.
5. Remove the Shipping Plug from the Hydraulic Cylinder Port and install the NPT end of the
JIC x NPT Elbow Fitting to the Port, then connect the JIC end to the other end of the Hydraulic
Hose.
Use Liquid Thread Sealant on NPT Threads only
.
6. Securely tighten both connections on the Power Unit and Hydraulic Cylinder.
