Why is my Dash Ice Cream Maker not freezing the ice cream?
    • K
      Kelly HerreraJul 28, 2025
If your Dash Ice Cream Maker isn't freezing the ice cream, the Cooling Bowl might not be cold enough. Ensure it has been in the freezer for at least 8-10 hours before use, and only remove it when you're ready to make ice cream. Also, check the Cooling Bowl for any damage or punctures that could cause a leak.

What to do if the paddle is jammed in my Dash Ice Cream Maker?
    • T
      Terri LongAug 3, 2025
If the paddle in your Dash Ice Cream Maker gets jammed or stops spinning, it could be due to several reasons. First, always start the motor with the bowl empty and the paddle spinning before adding your ice cream mixture through the Ingredient Chute. If the mixture freezes to the sides, turn off the appliance, remove the Splash Guard, and use a plastic or wooden utensil to scrape the frozen mixture off the sides. Mix it in, and then continue churning. Also, the Ice Cream Maker has a safety feature that shuts it off if the motor overheats. If this happens, switch off the appliance, unplug it, and let it cool down. Once the mixture has thinned, you can continue using it.

Why is there a burning odor coming from my Dash Mixer?
    • G
      Gregory KellerAug 9, 2025
A burning smell from your Dash Mixer may occur if the mixture is too thick or if the appliance has been running for more than 3 minutes, causing the motor to overheat. To resolve this, turn off and unplug the Mixer. Let the motor cool down completely before you use it again.

If the beaters on your Dash Mixer aren't turning, first check that nothing is stuck inside the beater shaft. Also, ensure that the beater marked with an “L” is placed in the left socket and the beater marked with an “R” is in the right socket.
