Why won't my DCS BGB131 light when I push the ignition?

If your DCS Burner won't light when you push the ignition, several factors could be at play. It could be due to a dead battery, so try replacing it. Another potential cause is an improper air gap between the electrode tip and contact metal (it should be 1/8") or dirtiness; inspect the air gap and clean it if needed. Also, make sure gas is properly supplied to the unit and that the line is purged of air. Other checks include ensuring the orifice or venturi isn't blocked, the burner is free of obstructions or dirt, the correct gas type is being used, the fuel hose isn't bent or kinked, and there's an adequate gas supply available.
