  If your Defiant Security System lights stay on continuously, it might be due to several reasons. A bulb may be too close to the motion sensor or pointed at objects causing heat interference; reposition the bulb. The motion sensor could be picking up heat from sources like air vents; try decreasing the range or repositioning the sensor. Check if the sensor is in manual mode and switch it to auto. Avoid using dimmers or timers; replace them with a standard switch. Also, ensure the fixture isn't on a circuit with motors or fluorescent bulbs; if it is, install it on a separate circuit.

  If your Defiant Security System lights are flashing on and off, it could be because heat or light from the bulbs is activating the motion sensor. Try repositioning the bulbs. Reflected heat from other objects might also be the cause; reposition the sensor. If the sensor is in 'TEST' mode, flashing is normal during warm-up. Light leaking through bulb reflectors can also cause this; replace the bulbs with high-quality PAR 38 bulbs. Also, if the motion sensor is in AlertFlash mode, flashing is normal; switch to Security or BulbSaver mode. Finally, ensure you are using dimmable PAR38 LED bulbs rated for outdoor, wet conditions.
