Why is my Defiant Flood Light dimmer than normal?
    • B
      beckyfisherAug 26, 2025
If your Defiant Flood Light appears dimmer than normal, the rechargeable Nickel-metal Hydride batteries may be low. Allow the light to charge for 5 hours of continuous sunlight. If the dimness persists and the unit has been in operation for over 1 year, new Ni-MH batteries may be needed.

How to fix Defiant DFI-0654-WH that will not turn on?
    • B
      Benjamin SimonAug 28, 2025
If your Defiant Lighting Equipment won't turn on, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the power button is switched on. If that's not the issue, the battery might be depleted; recharge it in direct sunlight. Check the extension cord length between the solar panel and the light fixture; it should be no longer than 60 ft. Also, make sure the solar panel is correctly positioned facing southward for sufficient and direct sunlight. Adjust the SENS dial and LUX setting to compensate for other light sources. Finally, verify the surrounding air temperature is within the specified range of -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C).

What to do if Defiant DFI-0654-WH light appears to “strobe” or flash?
    • E
      Erin VaughnSep 1, 2025
If your Defiant Lighting Equipment is strobing or flashing, it might be due to a low battery. Turn the light off and charge it in direct sunlight. Another cause can be surrounding light sources affecting the motion sensor. Remove any such sources or relocate the light. You can also try turning the light off for 10 seconds and then back on to resolve a possible program error.

How to fix Defiant Lighting Equipment if the light appears dimmer than normal?
    • M
      Mitchell WellsSep 12, 2025
If your Defiant Lighting Equipment light is dimmer than usual, the rechargeable batteries might be low, causing the unit to switch to ECO mode. Once the battery charges back to 3.7V, the light will exit ECO mode and return to normal brightness. Adjusting the TIME dial to a smaller amount of time can also help save battery.

Why Defiant Flood Light will not turn on at night?
    • A
      Andrea GilbertNov 17, 2025
There are several reasons why your Defiant Flood Light might not be turning on at night: * The Power button might be in the OFF position. Ensure it is in the ON position. * The batteries may be depleted due to poor charging conditions or extended use (over a year). Check the connection to the solar panel and ensure it receives ample sunlight. New Nickel-metal Hydride batteries can be purchased. * Too many extensions (more than 60 ft.) might be installed. Use fewer cords or reposition the solar panel closer to the light. * The solar panel might not be optimally positioned. Adjust it to face southward for direct sunlight. * The motion sensor may not be detecting motion. Increase SENS and decrease LUX. * Ambient light might be interfering with activation. Increase the LUX setting...
