Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery

Removing the Coin-Cell Battery

1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.

2. Remove the hinge cover (see Removing the Hinge Cover).

3. Remove the keyboard (see Removing the Keyboard).

4. Insert a plastic scribe into the guide on the side of the coin-cell battery compartment, and pry out the battery.
Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery

1. When you replace the battery, insert it at a 30-degree angle under the clip with the positive (identified by a plus [+] symbol) side up, and then push it
into place.

2. Replace the keyboard (see Replacing the Keyboard).

3. Replace the hinge cover (see Replacing the Hinge Cover).
