4. Remove the I/O cover.
5. Remove the system-board shield.

Steps
1. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
2. Remove the fan cable from the routing guides on the display-assembly base.
3. Remove the three screws (M2x3.5) that secure the fan to the display-assembly base.
4. Lift the fan, along with its cable, off the display-assembly base.
