Replacing the Base Cover

Procedure
1 Place the base cover on the computer base and snap it in place.
2 Replace the screws that secure the base cover to the computer base.
3 Turn the computer over and replace the screws that secure the base cover to the
computer base.
Postrequisites
1 Replace the keyboard. See"Replacing the Keyboard" on page 25.
2 Follow the instructions from step 3 to step 5 in "Replacing the Hard Drive" on
page 21.
3 Follow the instructions from step 4 to step 6 in "Replacing the Optical Drive" on
page 18.
4 Replace the optical-drive assembly. See "Replacing the Optical Drive" on page 18.
5 Replace the battery. See "Replacing the Battery" on page 12.
