2 Open the latch, and disconnect the optical-drive cable from the connector on
the system board.
3 Close the display and the turn the computer over.
4 Remove the eight screws (M2.5x8) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest
assembly.
5 Remove the three screws (M2x2) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest
assembly.
