3. Follow the steps below to remove the optical drive:
a. Disconnect the data cable and power cable from the optical drive [1,2].
b. Pull the optical-drive release latch and then push the optical drive towards the front of the
computer [3].
c. Remove the optical drive from the computer [4].
Installing The Optical Drive
1. Push the optical drive into the computer till it snaps into place.
2. Connect the data cable and power cable to the optical drive.
3. Install the:
• bezel
• cover
4. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer.
Removing The Hard Drive
1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Remove the:
• cover
• bezel
