Overview

This document describes the De'Longhi PAC AN130HPE portable air conditioner, a device designed for cooling, dehumidifying, and heating rooms.

Function Description:

The PAC AN130HPE is a portable air conditioner that offers multiple operating modes: air conditioning, dehumidifying, heating, and fan-only. It is designed to provide comfort in various environmental conditions. The unit features a control panel with an ON/OFF button, mode selection, temperature/programme mode time buttons, a timer button, fan speed button, and indicators for air conditioning, dehumidifying, heating, fan, alarm, fan speed, temperature scale, and room temperature/programmed on/off time.

Important Technical Specifications:

The device operates on a power supply of 115 V~ 60 Hz 10.8 A. The power input during air conditioning and heating, as well as the cooling capacity, are specified on the rating plate. The refrigerant used is also indicated. The unit is designed for a room temperature range of 64 – 104°F (18 – 40°C) for air conditioning and 50 – 77°F (10 – 25°C) for heating. It is equipped with a 3-prong grounded plug and must be connected to an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.

Usage Features:

The air conditioner can be used in various settings, including sash window, other set-up methods, semi-permanent installations, and French window configurations. For sash window installation, the window bracket is opened, fitted into the window, and the assembled exhaust hose is inserted into the window bracket hole. The exhaust hose should be as short as possible to avoid bottlenecks. For semi-permanent installation, the appliance can be installed using a wall flange and a wall mounting accessory. This involves drilling a hole in the wall (Ø134mm / 5.27 in.) and inserting the exhaust hose. The unit offers three fan speeds: high, medium, and low. High speed achieves the target temperature rapidly, medium speed reduces noise while maintaining a good level of comfort, and low speed is for silent operation. The dehumidifying mode is ideal for humid conditions, and the unit will discharge moisture outside through the exhaust hose. The heating mode is suitable for spring and autumn when outdoor temperatures are not particularly severe. The fan mode allows the appliance to operate with the air exhaust hose attached or detached. The timer function allows users to program the appliance to turn on or off at a specific time within a 24-hour period, helping to avoid wasting electricity. The remote control provides convenient operation, allowing users to select modes, adjust temperature, and set fan speed from a distance. It requires two LR03 "AAA" 1.5V batteries.

Maintenance Features:

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance. The cabinet should be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and then dried. Harsh chemicals like petrol or solvents should be avoided. The silver ion filter should be cleaned regularly. The frequency of cleaning depends on the duration and conditions of operation. It is recommended to clean the filter once a week. To clean the filter, it should be extracted from the grille, vacuumed, and rinsed under running water. The water temperature should not exceed 104°F (40°C). For end-of-season operations, the unit should be drained of all water from the circuit, the external cap removed, and the internal cap from the drainage hole. The appliance should be empty, and the caps replaced. The filter should be cleaned and dried thoroughly before putting the unit back. For storage, the appliance should be covered with the supplied end of season dust cover and stored in a cool, dry place. The appliance should never be transported or turned upside down. If this occurs, it is necessary to wait 6 hours before turning the appliance on, to allow the oil to return to the compressor.
