      If you're not getting sound from your Denon DVD Player or the sound quality is poor, check the connections to your TV or stereo system. Ensure the input settings on your TV or stereo are correctly configured. Also, verify the “DIGITAL OUT” and “COMPRESSION” settings. Note that digital signals cannot be output with Super audio CDs, so use analog connections for those. Finally, ensure the area/layer of the Super audio CD being played (CD/stereo/multi-channel) matches the amplifier connections.

      If the Denon DVD Player's remote control isn't working, first ensure the batteries are correctly inserted, matching the polarities indicated.       If you've forgotten the password for the rating level on your Denon DVD Player, reset it by entering stop mode, then simultaneously hold the player's SKIP 9 button and the PLAY button. While holding these, press and hold the OPEN/CLOSE button for at least 3 seconds, until “INITIALIZE” disappears from the TV monitor. This will release the lock and revert all settings to default.
