The Depstech® HD Inspection Camera functions as a wireless endoscope, allowing users to view real-time images in hard-to-reach areas. It connects to smart devices (iOS, Android, or Windows) via Wi-Fi, displaying the camera feed through the "DEPSTECH-View" application. The camera is equipped with LED lights for illumination, and its brightness can be adjusted. It supports capturing photos and recording videos, which can be stored and reviewed within the app's gallery. The device is designed to be efficient, helping users save time and explore intricate environments.

Usage Features:

  1. APP Downloading:

    • iOS (9+): Search and download "DEPSTECH-View" from the APP Store.
    • Android (5.0+): Search and download "DEPSTECH-View" from Google Play Store.
    • Windows: Download the advertisement-free "DEPSTECH-View" application from www.depstech.com.
    • Permissions: The app may request access to the camera, album, or WLAN/WiFi settings for its initial use, with no privacy risk.
  2. Device Activation:

    • Push the power button to "ON" to activate the inspection camera.
    • The red LED indicator will stay on when the power system is in standby.
    • The blue LED indicator will flash when the WiFi module is ready to be paired.
  3. WiFi Connection:

    • Turn on the WiFi setting on your smart device (Phone, Tablet, or PC with WiFi module).
    • Search for the factory setting WiFi SSID: "DEPSTECH_" (where "" is a series of random numbers and letters).
    • Choose and enter the factory setting WiFi password: "12345678".
    • Be patient during the connection process as it may take a few seconds for the WiFi signal to establish.
  4. First Trial:

    • Open the "DEPSTECH-View" application.
    • For Android users, select "WiFi" as the connection type.
    • The blue LED indicator on the panel will stay on after entering the application, and you will get a real-time image from the camera.
  5. Accessories Installation:

    • The included accessories (side-mirror, hook, and magnet) are attached to the camera by rotating them clockwise or anticlockwise.
  6. APP Introduction (Interface Features):

    • Rotate Button: Click to rotate the image 90°.
    • Photo Shoot Button: Click to take a photo.
    • Record Button: Click to start/end a video recording.
    • Gallery Button: Click to check captured photos and videos.
    • Setting Button: Click to enter the settings menu.
    • Camera Switch Button: Click to switch between the main and side cameras (for dual-cam models).
    • Buttons Hidden Function: Click the screen to hide or reveal the control buttons.
    • Zoom In/Zoom Out Function: Use two fingers to expand outwards to zoom in or get close to zoom out the real-time image.
  7. APP Settings:

    • Resolution: Click to choose different image resolutions (e.g., 1920x1080).
    • WiFi Setting: Modify the WiFi SSID and Password. Remember to click the reset button after making changes.
    • Channel Switch: Use this option if there are too many 2.4G & 5G WiFi signals disturbing the connection nearby.

Maintenance Features:

  • Storage: Turn off the endoscope and store it in a dry environment after each use.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft cotton cloth with a small amount of alcohol to clean the camera lens, which helps maintain image clarity.
  • Battery Life: Charge and use the device regularly (every three months) to extend battery life.
  • Temperature: Store the device between 32-158℉ (0-70℃) and operate it between 32-113℉ (0-45℃).
  • Safety: Keep the device away from fire sources, liquids, and acidic substances to prevent electrical shocks and damage. The unit is not shock-resistant; avoid dropping it from a height.
  • Water Resistance: The lens and tube are water-resistant (IP67) when fully assembled, but the WiFi box is not. Do not immerse the WiFi box in water.
  • Battery Disposal: Dispose of batteries according to WEEE guidelines, paying attention to environmental aspects. Return the battery to your supplier or a designated collection point.
  • Normal Operation: It is normal for the camera to get warm, especially when the LED brightness is at its highest level; this does not affect regular usage or lifespan.
  • WiFi Distance: Maintain a distance of less than 33ft between the WiFi box and the phone/tablet for optimal transmission.
  • Interference: Avoid using the unit in strong WiFi interference areas, as this can affect the connection between the WiFi box and the smartphone.

Troubleshooting (FAQ & Help):

  • Connection Issues:
    • Ensure the device is fully charged and powered on.
    • Check if the blue WiFi signal light is steady on.
    • Verify the WiFi name and password ("12345678").
    • If prompted "Internet may be unavailable," select "Keep Connected."
    • Restart the device and try reconnecting.
    • Use the attached reset pin to reset the device if needed.
    • Turn off WiFi on other mobile phones previously connected to the endoscope.
    • Turn on airplane mode on your phone before connecting.
    • For iOS 14 users, ensure "Cellular Data" and "Native network" options are enabled for "DEPSTECH-View" in settings.
    • For Android users, click "Keep Wi-Fi connection" if prompted "Internet may not be available."
    • If you modified the Wi-Fi SSID/password, use a reset pin to revert to default settings.
  • No Real-time Image/Black Screen:
    • Restart the device after fully charging.
    • Perform a hard reset using the reset pin near the charging port.
    • Ensure no other devices are interfering with the WiFi connection.
    • If the issue persists, contact the seller.
