Why does the DeVilbiss Air Compressor tank pressure get too high?
    • J
      Jacob JohnsonJul 29, 2025
Excessive tank pressure in your DeVilbiss Air Compressor, causing the safety valve to pop off, is often due to the pressure switch failing to shut off the motor when the compressor reaches its cut-out pressure, or the pressure 'cut-out' is set too high. To resolve this, move the pressure switch lever to the 'OFF' position. If it still doesn’t shut off, unplug the unit. If the electrical contacts are welded together, the pressure switch needs replacement. You may need to return the air compressor to an authorized dealer to check, adjust, or replace the switch.

What to do if my DeVilbiss FA125 has air leaks at fittings?
    • B
      Beth JamesAug 3, 2025
If you notice air leaks at the fittings of your DeVilbiss Air Compressor, it's likely because the tube fittings aren't tight enough. Try tightening the fittings where you hear air escaping. You can also check the fittings with a soapy water solution to identify leaks. Be careful not to overtighten.

What to do if my DeVilbiss Air Compressor air tank is leaking?
    • P
      Penny JohnsonAug 9, 2025
If your DeVilbiss Air Compressor has air leaks in the air tank or at the air tank welds, it indicates a defective air tank. The air tank must be replaced. Do not attempt to repair the leak, and do not drill into, weld, or otherwise modify the air tank, as this will weaken it and could cause it to rupture or explode.

What to do if my DeVilbiss FA125 has air leaks at pressure switch release valve?
    • J
      Justin DiazAug 13, 2025
If your DeVilbiss Air Compressor has air leaks at the pressure switch release valve, it could be due to a defective pressure release valve or a defective check valve. Try removing and replacing the release valve. Also, a defective check valve can cause a constant air leak at the pressure release valve when there's pressure in the tank and the compressor is shut off. In this case, remove and clean or replace the check valve. Be careful not to overtighten.

      April ScottAug 18, 2025

Why does the pressure drop on my DeVilbiss Air Compressor when using an accessory?
    • D
      Dalton GilbertAug 23, 2025
It is normal for some pressure drop to occur on your DeVilbiss Air Compressor when an accessory is used. However, if there is an excessive amount of pressure drop, adjust the regulator following the instructions. Make sure to adjust the regulated pressure under flow conditions, meaning while the accessory is being used.
