What to do if DeVilbiss FLG-CNG-115 Paint Sprayer will not spray?
    • J
      james64Aug 21, 2025
If your DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer isn't spraying, there could be a few reasons. First, check the air supply and air lines, and blow out the gun's air passages, as there might be no air pressure at the gun. Second, ensure the fluid needle adjusting screw is open enough. Finally, the fluid might be too heavy for gravity feed; in this case, thin the material or change to a larger tip size.

Why is my DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer producing dry spray?
    • A
      Amber BradySep 3, 2025
Dry spray from your DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer can occur if the air pressure is too high; reduce the air pressure. Also, check if the gun tip is too far from the work surface and adjust to the proper distance. If your gun motion is too fast, slow down. Finally, the gun might be out of adjustment; adjust it accordingly.

What causes thick, dimpled finish ('orange peel') with DeVilbiss FLG-CNG-115 Paint Sprayer?
    • K
      Kimberly StoneSep 1, 2025
A thick, dimpled finish, often called 'orange peel,' when using a DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer can be attributed to several factors: * The gun being too close to the surface: check the distance. * Too much material being coarsely atomized, improper thinner being used, or material not properly mixed: follow the paint manufacturer's mixing instructions. * Air pressure being too low: increase air pressure or reduce fluid flow. * A rough, oily, or dirty surface: properly clean and prepare the surface.

Why is my DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer producing excessive fog?
    • A
      angelamaddoxAug 31, 2025
Excessive fog from your DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer can result from too much or too fast-drying thinner; remix properly. It may also be caused by too much atomization air pressure; reduce the air pressure.

What causes fluid leaking from packing nut of DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer?
    • K
      Katrina HallAug 29, 2025
Fluid leaking from the packing nut of your DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer is often because the packing nut is loose; tighten it, but be careful not to bind the needle. If the packing is worn or dry, replace or lubricate it.

What to do if DeVilbiss FLG-CNG-115 Paint Sprayer fluid is leaking or dripping from front of gun?
    • T
      Tina AllenAug 28, 2025
If fluid is leaking or dripping from the front of your DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer, it could be due to several reasons. The packing nut might be too tight, so adjust it. Dry packing can also cause this, so lubricate it. The fluid tip or needle might be worn or damaged; in this case, replace the tip and needle. Foreign matter in the tip can also cause leaks, so clean it. A broken fluid needle spring should be replaced, and using the wrong size needle or tip requires replacement.

    • H
      hnortonAug 27, 2025
If your DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer has a jerky or fluttering spray, several factors could be responsible: 1. A loose or damaged fluid tip/seat: tighten or replace it. 2. Material level too low: refill the material. 3. Obstruction in the fluid passage: backflush with solvent. 4. Loose fluid needle packing nut: lubricate or tighten it.

What causes runs and sags with DeVilbiss FLG-CNG-115?
    • T
      Tara WeaverAug 25, 2025
Runs and sags when using your DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer can occur if there's too much material flow; adjust the gun or reduce fluid flow. It could also be that the material is too thin; mix properly or apply light coats. Ensure you hold the gun at a right angle to the work and adapt to proper gun technique, as tilting the gun or moving it too slowly can also cause this.

Why is my DeVilbiss FLG-CNG-115 producing excessive overspray?
    • K
      Katherine VaughnAug 23, 2025
Excessive overspray from your DeVilbiss Paint Sprayer may be due to too much atomization air pressure; try reducing the pressure. Also, check the distance between the gun and the work surface and adjust to the proper distance. Improper stroking, such as arcing or moving the gun too fast, can also cause this issue. Move at a moderate pace, parallel to the work surface.
