GUN DESCRIPTION

The FLG4 is a light weight, general

purpose gravity feed spray gun for

spraying applications suitable for use with a wide

variety of common coating materials. Model

FLG-HVG-315 is an HVLP spray gun, and model

FLG-CNG-115 is conventional.

First, check the air supply and air lines, and blow out the gun's air passages, as there might be no air pressure at the gun. Second, ensure the fluid needle adjusting screw is open enough. Finally, the fluid might be too heavy for gravity feed; in this case, thin the material or change to a larger tip size.

Dry packing can also cause this, so lubricate it. The fluid tip or needle might be worn or damaged; in this case, replace the tip and needle. Foreign matter in the tip can also cause leaks, so clean it. A broken fluid needle spring should be replaced, and using the wrong size needle or tip requires replacement.
