The fence has an adjustable stop for easy right angleadjustment.
1. Loosen the angle clamp handle

2. Rotate the handle (clockwise) until it makes contact with the shaftnut.
3. Turn the elevating handle counterclockwise until it matches the hole and flat side of
theshaft.
4. Using a 2.5 mm hex key, tighten the dowel of the elevating handle (Fig. L2).
- Turn clockwise to decrease the cuttingdepth.
- Turn counterclockwise to increase the cuttingdepth.
5. Read the finished thickness of your workpiece on the depth adjustment scale

(Fig. L3).
OPERATION
Instructions for Use
WARNING: Always observe the safety instructions and applicableregulations.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn tool off and
disconnect tool from power source before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. Be sure the trigger switch is in the OFF position.
An accidental start-up can causeinjury.
Ensure the machine is placed to satisfy your ergonomic conditions in terms of table height
and stability. The machine site shall be chosen so that the operator has a good overview and
enough free surrounding space around the machine that allows handling of the workpiece
without anyrestrictions.
Prior to Operation
• Remove all foreign objects. Do not plane wood with loose knots. Do not plane wood that
is severely knotted orwarped.
Switching On and Off (Fig. M)
The on/off switch offers multiple advantages:
No-volt Release Function
Should the power be shut off for some reason, the switch has to be deliberatelyreactivated.
Motor Overload Protection Device
In case of motor overload, the power supply to the motor will be cut off. If this happens, let the
motor to cool for 2 minutes and then press the green startbutton.

Planing (Fig. N1, N2)
1. Mount the guard/chip collector as describedabove.
2. Adjust the fence asrequired.
3. Adjust the guard to provide optimumscreening.
4. Set the depth ofcut.
5. Switch on themachine.
- Slowly feed the workpiece underneath the guard, keeping it firmly pressed against
thefence.
- Feed the workpiece in the direction of thegrain.
- Remember to use the push stick when close to thecutterhead.
Thicknessing (Fig. A2, O1, O2)
1. Mount the guard/chip collector as describedabove.
2. Lower the guard

3. Set the depth ofcut.
4. Switch on themachine.
- Best results are achieved when the workpiece has at least one flatsurface.
- For optimal results, plane both sides of the workpiece to reach the desiredthickness.

Snipe
Snipe is a depression made when the ends of the workpiece contact the cutters. To
avoidsnipe:
1. Keep the workpiece level throughout the planingoperation.
2. Feed the workpiece flat against thetable.
Warping (Fig. P1–P4)
If your workpiece is only slightly warped, plane both sides to produce the desiredthickness.
Bowed Workpieces (Fig. P1, P2)
The feed rollers and cutterhead will temporarily flatten the workpiece (Fig. P1). The bowed
shape, however, will return after planing (Fig.P2).
• To remove the bow, use ajointer.
Cupped Workpieces (Fig. P3, P4)
1. Rip the cupped workpiece in the middle (Fig. P3).
2. Plane the pieces separately to eliminatewaste.

Dust Extraction (Fig. A1)
The machine is provided with a 100 mm dust extraction port on the guard/chip collector

Provided with a suitable dust extraction device, 90% of the produced shaving can be caught if
the air flow is at least 20 m/s.
Connect a suitable dust extraction device during alloperations.
Whenever possible, connect a dust extraction device designed in accordance with the relevant
regulations regarding dustemission.
Transporting (Fig. Q1, Q2)
The castor wheels

provide an easy transport of the machine. Securely holding the handle
with both hands, transport the machine as shown in FigureQ2.
