WARNING: Never use the machine
without the table insert. Immediately
replace the table insert when worn or
damaged.
Mounting the Upper Blade Guard
(fi g. N)
• Secure the upper blade guard (5) to the riving
knife (6) using the screw (31), flat washer (21)
and the wing nut (38).
Attaching the Bevel Scale (fi g. O)
• Adjust the saw blade to a right angle following
the instructions below.
• Stick the bevel scale (80) onto the frame
bracket (53), taking care that the 0° marking
coincides with the edge of the blade guard (60).
Placing the Machine in Position
• Move the machine to the location where you
intend to use it.
WARNING: When moving the machine,
always seek assistance.
The machine is too heavy for one
person to handle.
• If possible, bolt the machine to the floor using
the floor anchor holes provided.
• Connect the machine to the mains.
ADJUSTMENT
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
injury, turn unit off and disconnect
machine from power source before
installing and removing accessories,
before adjusting or changing set-
ups or when making repairs.
Blade Height Adjustment (fi g. A)
• Take hold of the elevating handle (11) and adjust
the blade height.
- Turn clockwise to increase the height.
- Turn counterclockwise to decrease the
height.
Checking and adjusting the blade to
the table (fi g. P)
• Set the saw blade to its highest position.
• Check the position of the blade (7) at both
places where the toothed rim passes the insert
(3). The blade is correctly aligned if the saw
blade is parallel to the insert while the gap
between the blade and the insert is equal at
both sides of the blade.
• If adjustment is required, slacken the nuts (33)
holding the brackets (53) to the saw table. Tap
the brackets using a soft hammer until the saw
blade is parallel to the insert.
• Securely tighten the nuts using the spanner (16).
Adjusting the Bevel Stops
(fi g. Q1, Q2)
• Set the saw blade to its highest position.
ADJUSTING THE RIGHT ANGLE STOPS (FIG. Q1)
• Slacken the lock knobs (22).
• Using a set square, check the angle between
the saw blade and the table top.
• Adjust the bevel angle until the saw blade is at
exactly 90° to the table top.
• Tighten the lock knobs.
• Adjust the bevel stop by slackening the nuts
(81) and locating the nuts against the motor
frame assembly. Securely tighten the nuts.
ADJUSTING THE BEVEL ANGLE STOP (FIG. Q2)
• Remove the table insert to gain access to the
saw blade housing.
• Slacken the lock knobs (22).
• Using a set square, check the angle between
the saw blade and the table top.
• Adjust the bevel angle until the saw blade is at
exactly 45° to the table top.
• Tighten the lock knobs.
• Adjust the bevel stop by slackening the nut (82)
and locating the nut against the motor frame
assembly. Securely tighten the nut.
• Make sure to replace the table insert after the
adjustment has been completed.
Adjusting the Fence (fi g. R1–R3)
CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE FENCE TO THE BLADE
(FIG. R1)
• Set the saw blade to its highest position.
• Set the fence for ripping.
• Check the accuracy by placing the fence
against the blade.
• If adjustment is required, proceed as follows:
• Slacken the self-locking nut (83). Adjust the
eccentric nut (84) until the fence is parallel to the
saw blade.
