§6.2 - Check the position of the tooth rack of the retrac-
tion system
• The aluminium sliding tubes are delivered with the tooth
racks in a standard position, that will work for the majority
of cases (exceptions possible).
• When sliding in the HTL for the first time, make sure that
the tooth rack covers at least the range TR [See Fig. 6.4].
From the platform work position to the stow position.
• The range TR should overlap the gear wheel both in work
position and in stow position, to prevent that the gear
wheel would run out of the tooth rack [See Fig. 6.4].
• If this is not the case, loosen the bolts that fix the tooth
racks to the sliding tubes, re-adjust the position of the
tooth racks, and fasten them again to the required torque.
• Also make sure that the 2 tooth racks (left and right) take
the same position in comparison to their corresponding
gear wheel [See Fig. 6.5].
• Push the 2 square bars [1, 2 in Fig. 6.6] hard against their
relative slide plate, and fasten the bars by means of a
locking bolt M8.
