• Provide the IP address of the server or other device to
which the connection should be made.
• Specify the TCP port number for connections. The port
number depends on the conventions used on the
remote server or device. The following table provides
common TCP port numbering conventions. However,
the remote device may not use these conventions:
• Specify a service to use for the connection.
• Specify other options as required. Use the online help
for information on configuration fields. One option,
Force DCD should be specified only in the following
circumstances: (1) You want the connection up all the
time. (2) The Device type specified on the Port Config-
uration page is Modem in.
8. When you complete configuration changes, choose Sub-
mit to commit the configuration.
