Directions for Use
The Panacea Positioner is intended to be used in conjunction with a
resident’s wheelchair.
• CAUTION: Do not use razor blades to cut packaging away from positioner.
• CAUTION: Do not remove any tags from the positioner. Removal of tags will
void the warranty.
1. Inspect the positioner for shipping damage. If the positioner is damaged, DO
NOT USE POSITIONER and immediately contact Direct Supply Equipment &
Furnishings for further instruction.
2. Verify the proper positioner model and size was shipped. If you feel there was
a mistake, DO NOT USE POSITIONER and immediately contact Direct Supply
Equipment & Furnishings.
3. After verifying you’ve received the correct product without damage, properly
discard all shipping materials.
4. Follow the installation instructions in this manual for your specific device to
begin using your Panacea Positioner.
• WARNING: This positioner will not prevent entrapment or falls. This positioner
will not replace good caregiving practices, including but not limited to:
• Direct resident supervision
• Following FDA guidelines
• Adequate care plans and training for staff regarding resident diet, hydration,
cleanliness, range of motion, entrapment, fall prevention and repositioning
• Inspection and testing before use
