A. BEND LIMITS
JT920 Power Pipe Drill Pipe
Turns in the bore path should be made gradually. All Ditch Witch
pipes have recommended bend limits. JT920 drill pipes have a
tested bend radius of 105’ (32 m), meaning a 90 degree bend
requires 105’ (32 m) of forward distance and approximately
165’ (50.3 m) of pipe. Make sure pitch changes no more than 6%
per pipe.
NOTICE: Bending pipe more sharply than recommended will
damage pipe and cause failure over time. Changes in pitch must
be equally distributed over the length of a pipe. Maximum percent
changes in pitch in 1-2’ (30-60 cm) of pipe create sharp bends
and will damage pipe.
