Routine Maintenance
IMPORTANT NOTE: CHANGE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER AFTER FIRST 5 HOURS OF USE AND THEN EVERY
25 HOURS THEREAFTER.
NOTE: The recommended Transaxle oil for your Dixie Chopper machine is Lucas 20/50 Plus Motor Oil (Part Num-
ber 20500). We strongly urge that you use this oil in the event that you should need to refi ll or add to your hydraulic
reservoir. However, if Lucas 20/50 Plus Motor Oil is unavailable, you may substitute a motor oil of 89 SUS or better
(at 212 degrees fahrenheit), such as a high-grade 10W50, 15W40, 15W50, or 20W50
Engine Oil: Under Normal Mowing Conditions, Use SAE30 or a 5W-30 Synthetic Racing Oil.
For other climate conditions consult engine manual.
Lube Grease: Lucas X-tra H/D Grease part# 10301.

* Transaxle oil and fi lters must be initially changed at 100 hours; thereafter change every 400 hours or annually.
Changes MUST be performed by an Authorized Dixie Chopper Service Dealer ONLY.
** Engine air fi lters should be cleaned/changed more frequently in dusty conditions or when airborne debris is present.
