Every 250 Service Hours or Monthly
You must read and understand the warnings and instructions contained in the Safety section of this manual,
before performing any operation or maintenance procedures.
Engine Oil & Filter (LP Engine) -
Change
LP Engine Crankcase
1. Operate lift truck a few minutes to warm oil. Park the
lift truck with the forks lowered, parking brake applied,
transmission in neutral and the engine stopped.
2. Raise rear of lift truck off ground and block securely.
WARNING
Hot oil and components can cause personal
injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to
contact skin.
3. Remove the crankcase drain plug and allow oil to
drain. Clean and install drain plug.
4. Raise the hood and seat assembly.
5. Remove and discard oil filter element.
6. Wipe sealing surface of oil filter element mounting
base. Make sure all of the old gasket is removed.
7. Before installing a new filter element, apply a small
amount of clean engine oil to the filter element gasket.
8. Install the new filter element. When the gasket
contacts the base, tighten it 3/4 of a turn more. Do not
overtighten.
9. Raise the lift truck, remove the blocking and lower the
lift truck.
10. Fill the crankcase. See "Refill Capacities ".
11. Start the engine and allow the oil to fill the filter and
passages.
12. Check for oil leaks.
13.
Stop the engine and measure the oil level. Maintain
the oil level to the FULL mark on the dip stick.
14. Close hood and seat assembly.
NOTICE
Engine Oil Service hours can be extended to 500
hours by using Doosan supplied specific oil. Please
consult Doosan dealer about it.
