Why does my Doosan DCT2PS Pickhammer lack power?
    • K
      Kathy EllisAug 13, 2025
Your Doosan Tools Pickhammer may lack power due to several reasons. It could be caused by low air supply pressure, which should ideally be at a maximum of 6.2 bar (90 psig) at the tool. Other potential causes include running on the fronthead cushion, which can be resolved by keeping the shank fed up to the work. Plugged air passages, lack of lubricating oil (maintain the proper oil level in the lubricator), or a clouded inlet bushing screen can also diminish power. To resolve plugged air passages, disassemble the Pickhammer and clean out all ports and passages; to fix clouded inlet bushing screen, clean the screen in the Inlet Bushing Assembly.

What to do if Doosan Tools overheating after break-in period?
    • C
      Colton StevensAug 17, 2025
If your Doosan Tools is overheating after the break-in period, there are several potential causes. It could be due to running on the fronthead cushion, which means you should keep the shank fed up to the work. Another reason may be that the piston isn't hitting the shank because the shank is too short, so remove the shank from the Pickhammer. Also, pulling steel at full throttle can cause overheating, so use minimum throttle when pulling steels away from work. Finally, a lack of lubricant or improper lubricating oil may be the cause, so ensure the lubricating oil reservoir is full of proper lubricant before operating the Pickhammer.

How to fix Doosan DCT2PS Tools Pickhammer that will not start?
    • K
      Kimberly StevensAug 20, 2025
If your Doosan Tools Pickhammer won't start, it could be due to a few reasons: a plugged exhaust port or air passages (caused by dirt or hose particles), a stuck valve (due to gummy oil or incorrect assembly), or a frozen piston (due to improper lubrication). To resolve these issues, dismantle the Pickhammer and clean out all ports and air passages, remove and clean the valve chest parts, or repair the piston by placing it in a high-speed lathe and dressing it with fine emery cloth. Also, never run the Pickhammer without the proper lubricating oil in the lubricator.

What to do if Doosan Tools Pickhammer loses power rapidly?
    • A
      anthony64Aug 25, 2025
If your Doosan Tools Pickhammer is losing power rapidly, it might be due to a restriction in the air hose, so never allow the air hose to kink or make sharp bends. Another cause might be that the air hose is too long; as a general rule, keep the air hose length under 15 m (49 ft). Also, the air hose diameter could be too small, so use a 13 mm (1/2”) inside diameter air supply hose. Finally, the inlet bushing screen could be clogged; in this case, clean the screen in the Inlet Bushing Assembly.

Why is my Doosan DCT2PS operating erratically or sluggishly?
    • K
      Kevin GriffinAug 28, 2025
Erratic or sluggish operation of your Doosan Tools could stem from lubricating oil that's too heavy, slowing down valve action, so use only the recommended lubricating oil. It may also be caused by gummed oil or dirt in operating parts, so disassemble the tool and clean out dirt and gummy residue. Service the Pickhammer with clean oil, protect the tool from dirt when idle, and clean the screen in the Inlet Bushing Assembly.

What causes cylinder overheating on new Doosan DCT2PS Tools Pickhammer?
    • E
      ebarberAug 31, 2025
Cylinder overheating on a new Doosan Tools Pickhammer is likely due to the tool not being properly broken in. To resolve this, stop operating the tool and perform initial servicing.

Why is my Doosan DCT2PS Tools causing fogging?
    • J
      Julia JohnsonSep 5, 2025
Fogging with your Doosan Tools can be attributed to excessive moisture in the air supply line, so clean out the air lines. Another cause is over-lubrication. To solve this, adjust the lubricator for the proper rate lubricant feed.

Why is my Doosan DCT2PS freezing at exhaust ports?
    • D
      Daniel HayesSep 8, 2025
Freezing at the exhaust ports of your Doosan Tools is usually due to excessive moisture in the air supply line, which often occurs in low ambient temperatures. To address this, install moisture traps in the air supply line or add anti-freeze lubricant directly through the air inlet.
