Settings
Setting up the telephone
1. Connect the telephone cord to a network wall socket and to the
T
socket on the back of the telephone.
2. Connect the curly cord to the handset and to the socket marked
q
on the side of the telephone.
3. You will hear a click when the modular plug is correctly in place.
4. Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
Ringer volume switch
The ringer volume can be adjusted using on the right hand side
of the telephone.
Checking that the 'I am okay' button works
When you rst plug in your telephone we recommend you press the
'I am okay' button.
Wait a minute and then telephone your Safety Conrmation provider, using
the Customer Services button to conrm they received the signal.
Storing numbers in the telephone
The Memory Button can have the number of a friend, relative or contact
assigned to it. This means, that once programmed, with just a single press
of the Memory Button you can ring that person.
You can also store up to a further 10 numbers on the telephone, these can
be accessed by pressing the Memory Button followed by a number 1 to 9
on the keypad.
Assigning a telephone number to the Memory Button
This allows you to call a telephone number simply by lifting the handset
and pressing the Memory Button. We recommend you assign your most
important telephone number to this button.
