Connecting the water trap
Replacing the water trap
1. Remove the new water trap from the packaging.
2. Write the current date on the front of the water trap.
When the maximum period of use of 4 weeks is reached.
If there is an error message on the patient monitor or the anesthesia workstation.
If emptying does not rectify the error message of the patient monitor or the anesthesia workstation.
If it is severely soiled.
If the swelling seals in the connections turn blue.
To connect the new water trap, please follow the instructions from the chapter
"Connecting the water trap" above.

The 2nd step is not necessary if the water trap Infinity ID WaterLock 2
is used together with Dräger devices with Infinity ID technology as the
maximum period of use of the water trap is automatically monitored.
3. Hold the water trap
(A) at the fluted grips and insert it into
the holder or adapter until it audibly clicks into place.
4. Connect the sample line
(B) to the Luer Lock connection
of the water trap.
