2.3.5 LEDs
2.3.6 Display
The display of the Dräger X-act 5000 consists of two parts: The upper
part is a segment display (1). It indicates the number of strokes, flow
rate and measuring time, volume units, error codes, and different
icons. The lower part is a matrix display that consists of two lines (2).
Menus and options will be displayed here. The user can select which
operation is to be performed.
The display prompts are available in different languages. The language can
be selected from the password-protected menu. The display has a
backlight. This backlight will be switched off after approx. 30 seconds. To
turn on the backlight, press any key.
2.3.7 Power supply
The Dräger X-act 5000 can only be used with a rechargeable battery
or an alkaline battery pack. The power supply is part of the Ex-
approval. Only the listed alkaline batteries, which are part of the Ex-
approval, shall be used (see chap. 9 on page 25). The display shows
that battery capacity. The information is continuously updated. For the
meaning of the icons, please refer to chap. 2.7 on page 12.
When the last measurement is finished and acknowledged with the
"OK" key and the empty battery icon is displayed, a new pump job
cannot be started until the power supply is charged or changed.
If the instrument is switched on, but no operation is performed, the
sleep mode will be activated after approx. 5 minutes. To deactivate the
sleep mode, press any key. The instrument will automatically return to
the operation screen.
CAUTION
Green flashing LEDs only indicate that the instrument has
finished an operation. They do not mean that the environment
is free from hazards.
LEDs Description
Red, constant The laser is switched on
Red, flash An error has occurred (e. g. leak test not passed).
The LEDs flash until the "OK" key is pressed.
Green, flash Measurement is finished. The LEDs flash until the
"OK" key is pressed.
