Bar code operation
INVISIBLE LASER RADIATION
AVOID DIRECT EYE EXPOSURE
CLASS 3R LASER PRODUCT
The NOHD safety distance (Nominal Ocular Hazard Distance) is
20 cm (8 in). For more information on the laser (see “Technical data”
on page 24).
Observe the rules and regulations concerning the use of Class 3R
lasers that are applicable at the operating location.
The "BARCODE OPERATION AIR" mode
is used to easily start a measurement. The
bar code is printed on the label on the
backside of the Dräger-tube box. The
Dräger X-act 5000 can indicate the number
of strokes, the name of the gas to be
measured, the measuring range
information related to the current number of
strokes, and give guidance messages to
the user based on the bar code information.
WARNING
Laser appliances belonging to laser class 3R are potentially
hazardous to the eye!
The Dräger X-act 5000 has a built-in bar code reader which
emits an invisible laser beam when in “BARCODE
OPERATION AIR” mode of operation.
The laser is switched on only during this mode of operation
and only for a maximum of 30 seconds.
Avoid looking directly into the laser.
