Why is my Drolet ECO-65 glass sooting up quickly?

  If the glass on your Drolet Pellet stove is sooting up quickly, with a lazy, dark flame and the burn pot overfilling, it could be due to several factors: the stove or vent pipe being dirty (follow all cleaning procedures), the vent pipe being improperly installed (check the installation), blocked burn pot holes (remove and clean the burn pot), a blockage in the air intake pipe (inspect for foreign material), the combustion blower not working properly (check the blower and ensure there are no obstructions in the air intake), or bad pellets (try a different brand or type of pellets, ensuring they are dry).

Why does my Drolet Pellet stove auger motor stop and start?

  The auger motor in your Drolet Pellet stove might stop and start because it is overheating and tripping the internal temperature shutoff (thermal protector). To resolve this, start by emptying the hopper. Then, remove the auger motor, remove the screws on the steel plate holding the auger shaft to the auger housing, rotate the bottom end of the auger shaft down, and pull the shaft out of the stove. Inspect the shaft for damage or foreign material. Also, check the auger housing for damage and clean it thoroughly. Repeat the process with the burn pot auger motor.
