Place the percolator as close to the
wall socket as possible. When in use
ensure the percolator is not placed
under kitchen cabinets.
Before rst use or if the percolator has been out of use for a long time, ll to the 10 cup mark and use without coffee for one
operation, then discard the water and rinse the percolator out with fresh cold water.
DO NOT STORE OR USE YOUR PERCOLATOR IN AN APPLIANCE GARAGE OR UNDER CUPBOARDS.
The cup markings are given purely as a guide. Adjust coffee/tea and water quanities to your taste.
The percolator can be used for either coffee or tea, if you switch between the two clean all parts thoroughly.
Use the shortest cord possible.
Wrap excess cord round the
cord tidy on the base of
the percolator.
Do not operate on an inclined
plane.
Do not operate in a tray.

USING THE PERCOLATOR
Remove the percolator from the power base
and lift the lid off. Then remove the basket
assembly.
WARNING: IF THE PERCOLATOR HAS JUST BOILED, IT WILL BE FULL OF STEAM, WHICH WILL ESCAPE AS SOON
AS THE LID IS OPENED.
Fill the percolator with the required amount
of water. The capacity, in cups, is marked on
the inside wall of the percolator, minimum
4 cupfuls of water and a maximum of 10.
Do not overll; boiling water may be
ejected, causing a scalding hazard.
For coffee, put the required amount of course,
ground coffee in the basket by referring to the
cup indicator marks which correspond with the
water indicator in the percolator.
Tip: When lling the basket, put a nger over
the centre tube to prevent coffee grounds
from falling through.

USING THE PERCOLATOR
Once lled, lightly tap the basket to release
any loose grounds of coffee from holes on
the underside of the basket. Then insert the
percolator tube through the basket until it
rests on the spring.
For tea, we recommend 4 tea bags for a
maximum capacity of 10 cups, adjust for
personal preference. Note, not suitable for
loose tea.
Remove the percolator from the power
base before pouring. To avoid splashing, pour
slowly and do not over-tilt. For tea - serve
immediately. If the percolator is left idle for
45 minutes, it will switch off. We recommend
discarding any remaining content and for
further beverages return to point 1.
After use, always remove from the power
base, switch off and unplug.
Never leave unattended. Warning: if
the percolator has just been used the
contents will be hot.
Lower the basket assembly into the
percolator, aligning the bottom of the
percolator tube on the centre element of the
percolator. Add the cover to the basket and
push the lid rmly onto the percolator.
Plug in and place the percolator onto the power
base and switch on. The indicator light will cycle
between orange and off when brewing, then
turn green when ready. This will take between
5-10 mins dependent on capacity and will keep
your tea/coffee warm for up to 30-40 mins.
CLEANING & CARE
Unplug and let the percolator cool down
completely before cleaning. Remove the
percolator from the power base and discard
any remaining liquid. Remove the lid and
basket assembly. Dispose of the used coffee
grounds or tea bags.
Wash with hot, soapy water, rinse in clean cold
water and dry thoroughly. Wipe the outside
and inside surfaces of the percolator with a
soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the
body or power base in water. Please
note, this product is not dishwasher safe.

Use descaling products suitable for kitchen
appliances, these are readily available online or
from most supermarkets or department stores.
Use as per instructions on the packet.
Follow these few simple steps to minimise
scale build up: Empty the percolator after
each use; do not allow water to stand in the
percolator overnight. Use ltered water instead
of tap water. Descale regularly, at least once a
month. If you live in a hard water area you may
need to descale more often. When descaling
has nished, empty the percolator and rinse
it out a minimum of 3 times with fresh water,
then rell with fresh water, boil, then discard
boiled water. FAILURE TO DO SO
CAN CAUSE INJURY.
DO NOT OPERATE PERCOLATOR
