Use and maintenance manual
Check the correct position of the
handlebar in relation to the stem.
Adjust the inclination of the handlebar
as you wish, taking into account that
the “palm” area must remain as
parallel as possible for a correct use.
Finally tighten the screws
progressively with a 4 mm Allen
key following the tightening torque
indicated by the manufacturer of the
component.
Warning!
If you disassemble the stem
from the fork tube to adjust the
height of the handlebar with
the supplied shims, make sure
you leave 3-5 mm between the
end of the head tube and the
stem. This enables the cap of
the headset to have enough
room to screw itself correctly to
the support and preload the
headset itself.
Not following said instructions
may lead to severe control
problems. Carefully pay
attention not to choke or
damage the brake tubes
within the frame and the stem.
Please note that: the lower the
handlebar is located, the
greater the inclination of the
chest.
An excessively low handlebar
results in pain to the wrists,
arms, chest and nape of the
neck, as they undergo greater
stress.
In any case we recommend
resorting to an expert mechanic
for any modication concerning
the steering/fork area. As these
are delicate components, if the
operations are not carried out
correctly, they can potentially
become dangerous.
Example of handlebar with integrated stem. The
handlebar and the stem are made as a single
piece and the position between the two does not
need to be adjusted.
