Gear indication
The instrument panel receives information about
the gear engaged and displays the corresponding
value.
If a gear is engaged, the displayed value may range
from 1 to 6, while if in neutral N is displayed and the
Neutral warning light (2, Fig 52) turns on.
A dash “-” is displayed in these cases:
●
dash “-” and Neutral (warning light 2, Fig 52)
flashing on the instrument panel if the gear
teach-in procedure has not been yet;
●
dash “-” steady and Neutral
(warning light 2, Fig 52) flashing on the
instrument panel in case of gear sensor fault;
●
dash “-” flashing if the instrument panel does
not receive the gear information.
Note
If the display shows “-” steady on and the
Neutral light is then the gearbox could be in a
mechanically unstable position; in such a case,
until the correct gear is indicated.
Note
When the rpm indicator becomes amber
yellow, the instrument panel is warning the rider to
up.
