Why is my DURASTAR Air Conditioner not cooling properly?
- EElizabeth HarrisonAug 8, 2025
Several factors can cause poor cooling performance. The heat exchanger on either the indoor or outdoor unit might be dirty, requiring cleaning. Also, check if the air inlet or outlet of either unit is blocked; if so, turn the unit off, remove the obstruction, and then turn it back on. A low refrigerant level, potentially due to a leak or long-term use, can also be the reason. In this case, check for leaks, re-seal if necessary, and top off the refrigerant.
