3. INSTALLATION
We recommend that you have the water softener installed by an approved installer.
!
1. The water softener must be installed on a level surface.
2. Make sure to leave enough space around the water softener to give
a technician access to the salt tank and allow him to service the
device.
3. Do not fit the water softener to a network with a pressure of less
than 2 bar.
4. To protect the water softener, the bypass, the wastewater connec-
tion and the safety overflow, a pressure regulating valve must be
fitted.
5. To prevent brine getting into the drinking-water supply, a check
valve must be fitted between the water meter and the water softe-
ner.
6. To prevent the backflow of hot water, a check valve must be fitted
downstream of the water softener.
7. An anti-water hammer valve must be installed downstream of the
water softener to prevent shocks to the water softener.
