Why won't the pilot light on my Dyna-Glo Patio Heater light?
    • R
      rstokesJul 27, 2025
If the pilot light on your Dyna-Glo Patio Heater won't light, it could be due to several reasons. There might be air in the gas line; in this case, open the gas line and bleed it (pressing the control knob in) for no more than 1-2 minutes, or until you smell gas. Alternatively, low gas pressure could be the issue; turn the cylinder valve off and replace the cylinder. If the igniter is failing, try using a match to light the pilot and obtain a new igniter for replacement. Also, check the battery; replace it if it's dead, ensure it's correctly inserted, and inspect for any corrosion around the battery terminals.

What to do if the pilot won't stay lit on my Dyna-Glo Patio Heater?
    • R
      rodriguezjoshuaAug 1, 2025
If the pilot won't stay lit on your Dyna-Glo Patio Heater, it might be due to dirt buildup around the pilot; clean the dirt from around the pilot. Also, check the connection between the gas valve and pilot assembly; if it's loose, tighten the connection and perform a leak check. If the thermocouple isn't working correctly, replace it.

How to fix a burner that won’t light on my Dyna-Glo Patio Heater?
    • M
      Ms. Danielle ShafferAug 8, 2025
If the burner won’t light on your Dyna-Glo Patio Heater, it could be because the propane cylinder is frosted over; wait until it warms up and becomes unfrosted. There might be a blockage in the orifice; clear any blockage. Ensure the control knob is in the ON position.

Why is the burner flame low on my Dyna-Glo Patio Heater?
    • J
      Joseph RiceAug 13, 2025
If the burner flame is low on your Dyna-Glo Patio Heater, it could be due to low gas pressure. Turn the cylinder valve off and replace the cylinder. If the outdoor temperature is less than 40ºF (4ºC) and the tank is less than 1/4 full, use a full cylinder. Also, check the burner and orifices for any blockage if the control knob is fully on.

Why is there carbon build-up and black smoke coming from my Dyna-Glo Patio Heater?
    • J
      jacksonedgarAug 20, 2025
Carbon build-up and thick black smoke from your Dyna-Glo Patio Heater can be caused by dirt or film on the reflector, flame screen, and glass tube; clean these components. Another cause may be a blockage in the burner; remove the blockage and clean the burner inside and outside.
