Overview

This document provides instructions for the DYU A1F Foldable Ebike, covering its functions, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The DYU A1F Foldable Ebike is designed for personal mobility, offering both electric and power-assisted riding modes. It features a foldable design for easy storage and transport. The ebike is equipped with a dashboard that displays the current battery level, a light switch for the headlight, a trumpet (horn), and a power button.

The ebike's operation begins with unpacking and assembly. Users need to straighten the handlebar, adjust its direction and height, and then lock it in place using the quick release handle. The brake handle should be lightly pressed a few times to ensure the brake line is in its optimal state. The seat tube needs to be inserted and adjusted to the appropriate height before being locked. Finally, the pedals must be installed.

Charging the ebike involves connecting the charger. The indicator light on the charger will change from red to yellow-green when charging is complete. It is recommended to continue charging for an additional hour after the light changes.

To switch the machine on and off, a wireless key is used. Pressing the "Lightning button" on the wireless key twice in quick succession will turn on the machine, indicated by an alarm sound. To turn off the machine, press the "unlock key" or the "lock key" once, which will result in two alarm beeps, and the instrument will stop working.

The ebike also includes an anti-theft feature. Pressing the "lock button" on the wireless key activates the anti-theft system. If the ebike is vibrated in this state, an alarm will sound. To disable the anti-theft, press the "unlock key," and the alarm will no longer be triggered by vibrations.

Power indication is provided on the meter, showing four levels of power. The horn is located on the left side of the handlebar. Pressing the horn button will activate the horn. If held down, the horn will automatically stop after 10 seconds, so it should be released before further use.

The headlight is controlled by a light switch on the left side of the handlebar. The ebike's braking system is integrated with the electric acceleration; if the brakes are not fully rebounded, electric acceleration cannot be engaged. The nighttime running lights and headlights are synchronized, and the brake lights illuminate more brightly when braking.

The ebike offers both electric driving and power assistance. The maximum electric speed is 25km/h, though this can vary based on load, road conditions, and battery status. The default mode upon power-on is ECO economical gear. Users can cycle through three gears of power-assist. The accelerator can also be used for direct electric driving in any gear.

A cruise control function is available. During electric driving, if the accelerator is held for 5-8 seconds and then released, the ebike will maintain a constant speed. To cancel cruise control, the accelerator or brake can be engaged again.

The built-in battery is not designed for user removal or installation. If battery replacement is needed, users should contact official customer service.

Usage Features

The DYU A1F is designed with user convenience and safety in mind. Its foldable nature makes it suitable for urban commuters or those with limited storage space. The intuitive controls, including the wireless key for power and anti-theft, and handlebar-mounted switches for lights and horn, contribute to ease of use.

The ebike's power-assist system allows riders to choose between different levels of assistance, making it adaptable to various terrains and rider preferences. The ability to use the accelerator for direct electric driving provides flexibility. Cruise control enhances comfort during longer rides by maintaining a constant speed.

Safety features include synchronized headlights and running lights, as well as highlighted brake lights, improving visibility for both the rider and others. The integrated braking system, which prevents electric acceleration when brakes are engaged, adds an extra layer of safety.

The dashboard's clear display of battery level helps riders monitor their remaining power, preventing unexpected power loss during a ride. The horn serves as an important safety tool for alerting pedestrians and other vehicles.

The ebike is designed for individuals between 16 and 45 years old. It is strictly forbidden for individuals under 16 to drive electric bicycles on the road. Riders should always wear a safety helmet, obey traffic rules, and avoid riding on motor vehicle lanes or roads with many pedestrians. It is important not to carry people or items that exceed legal requirements and to avoid parking or charging in residential buildings, especially near combustibles.

When riding, it is crucial to drive on the right side of non-motorized vehicle lanes and maintain speeds not exceeding 15km/h on downhill and paved roads. Handlebars and saddles should be adjusted carefully to avoid exposing the safety line marks. Before each ride, check tire pressure (recommended 35-45PSI), power and lighting circuits, brake functionality, and the tightening of handlebars and wheels. Ensure reflectors are intact and clean. Avoid hitting the motor vigorously and keep the shaft lubricated.

The maximum load for the vehicle is 120KG. Braking distance will be extended in rain or snow, so caution and reduced speed are advised in such conditions. It is recommended to avoid traveling in bad weather like rainstorms. Riding with one hand is forbidden.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is essential for the longevity and safe operation of the DYU A1F Ebike.

General Care:

  • Store the ebike in a dry place away from direct sunlight and rain.
  • Avoid rinsing the ebike with water; instead, wipe the body with a semi-dry cloth.
  • Regularly check the motor and brakes. Brakes should not be filled with oil.
  • Periodically inspect and tighten all screws on the ebike. Suggested torque values are provided: 60-80 kgf.cm for horizontal screws, 175-200 kgf.cm for vertical screws, 175-250 kgf.cm for seat cushions, and 320-450 kgf.cm for wheel screws.
  • The tension of the chain should be checked regularly and adjusted using the chain adjuster.

Tires:

  • Inspect tires for nicks, cracks, or excessive wear.
  • Ensure the inner tube and valve are perpendicular to the wheel and not crooked.
  • Punctured, damaged, or excessively worn inner and outer tires should be replaced immediately by professional technicians.

Battery Care:

  • Charge the battery only within a temperature range of 0°C to 45°C.
  • Discharge the battery within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C.
  • Keep the battery dry and away from acidic or alkaline liquids, rain, fire, heat, and high-temperature environments.
  • Do not reverse the negative pole, damage, disassemble, or short-circuit the battery.
  • Use only the original special charger and do not charge for more than 6 hours, with a charging current not exceeding 2A.
  • For long-term storage, keep the battery in a cool, dry place and charge it for two hours every month.
  • When charging, follow the instructions carefully. Do not mix battery types or incompatible voltages.
  • Charge in a well-ventilated area, avoiding closed spaces, hot sun, or high temperatures.
  • Plug the battery in first, then connect to utility power. When fully charged, disconnect utility power first, then unplug the battery.
  • If the green light is on, disconnect power promptly. Do not leave the charger connected to AC power without a load for extended periods.
  • Stop charging immediately if abnormal indicator lights, smells, or charger overheating occur, and have the charger repaired or replaced.
  • Waste batteries are hazardous and should be recycled by professional departments without unauthorized disassembly.
  • Prevent foreign objects, water, or other liquids from entering the charger to avoid short circuits.
  • Avoid carrying the charger with the ebike if possible. If necessary, place it in a toolbox with shock absorption.
  • Do not disassemble or replace charger components yourself.

Modifications:

  • It is strictly forbidden to modify key structural parts such as the frame, front fork, standpipe, and electrical function accessories. Any damage resulting from unauthorized modifications will void the three-guarantee service and the company will not be responsible for any losses.
