2. B. Certification
The Model UXF-35 life preserver assembly is manufactured and approved for
certification in compliance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
requirements for Technical Standard Order (TSO) C13f.
NOTE: TSO compliance regarding the installation and use of the UXF-35 life
preserver assembly aboard the aircraft is the responsibility of the aircraft
operator.
NOTE: The conditions and test required for TSO approval of the UXF-35 life
preserver are minimum performance standards. It is the responsibility of
those desiring to install the UXF-35 either on or within a specific type or
class of aircraft to determine that the aircraft installation conditions are
within the TSO standards, the UXF-35 may be installed only if further
evaluation by the applicant documents an acceptable installation and is
approved by the Administrator.
