What to do if Earlex ASG55 Paint Sprayer hums but does not spray?

If your Earlex Paint Sprayer hums but doesn't operate, the piston may be sticking (part no. SG237). To resolve this: 1. Remove the large knob at the top of the unit (part no. SG266). 2. Pull the nozzle and piston assembly down and back to release it from the main gun assembly. 3. Unscrew and remove the nozzle and valve assembly. 4. Insert the metal punch (supplied in the spares pack) into the front of the cylinder housing and gently tap to eject the seized piston. 5. Clean and lubricate the piston and cylinder. 6. Re-assemble carefully in reverse order, ensuring you replace the compression spring onto the piston before fitting it and that no parts have fallen into the main gun assembly.
