What to do if my EarthQuake 7155 engine misses or lacks power?
    • C
      Courtney RobinsonAug 20, 2025
If your engine lacks power, raise the tines for shallower tilling by lowering the depth regulator lever. You can also remove and clean the fuel tank, or clean/replace the air cleaner. Other solutions include replacing the spark plug and adjusting the gap, or draining and refilling the gas tank and carburetor. For improper carburetor adjustment, take the Tiller to an authorized Briggs & Stratton service center.

To address squealing belts, turn off the engine and allow the muffler to cool. Disconnect the spark plug wire and secure it away from the spark plug. Remove the belt guard, pull down on the drive safety control levers, and manually bend the forward belt guide to achieve 1/16 inch or less clearance between the belt guide and belt. Finally, replace the belt guard and spark plug wire.
