Troubleshooting
If the NOVA STS recloser does not perform as described
in the Recloser operation section of this manual, the
following information may assist in troubleshooting:
Unit will not close
Make sure the yellow manual operating handle is
completely up (returned to the CLOSE position).
Check all cables for proper connection.
Check the condition of the battery located in the control
cabinet. Refer to Service Information S280-70-7 Form 6
Triple-Single, Microprocessor-Based Pole Mount Recloser
Control Installation and Operation Instructions for the
battery testing procedure.
Unit will not open
