20.3 Wiring
Four digital inputs can be wired to each of the two X1 and X2 connectors,
while four digital outputs can be wired to each of the two X3 and X4
connectors.
20.3.1 Digital inputs
The digital input, as defined in the EN 61131-2 type 1 with an input delay of 1
s for input 1-4 and 5 ms for input 5-8, is particularly suitable for connecting
electronic switching devices, including relay contacts, pushbuttons,
switches, etc. It is used to convert a signal with two possible states into a
one-bit binary number.
